Job summary

Allied Universal® in Ironton, OH, is seeking a Security Officer - Part Time for weekend shifts. You will patrol a manufacturing and industrial site, monitor access points, provide customer service, and help deter security incidents.

Flexible schedules and the Claim a Shift platform support growth and variety. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 18+ years old (21+ for armed roles), background check, drug screen, and a valid driver’s license for driving positions.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Complete required activity logs and shift documentation accurately.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and respond to site needs. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while working as part of a reliable, agile, and innovative Allied Universal team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.47 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, access points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and control access to the location by verifying authorized entry, observing visitor and contractor activity, and reporting irregularities.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation accurately and promptly.
