Job summary

Allied Universal in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide reliable access control at a media production site, with fixed anchor shifts and the option to pick up extra shifts. You will monitor entrances, verify credentials, respond to incidents, and prepare clear reports for site leadership.

Minimum requirements include 1 year of security experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to lift 20 pounds, and preferred CPR certification and a guard

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as per laws.
• Drug screen will be performed where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, talent, vendors, and employees by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a media production location.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized entry, maintaining visitor logs and following established badge, key, and delivery procedures.
• Respond to access-control concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site-specific protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, production areas, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site contacts, production personnel, and Allied Universal leadership while preparing clear reports for incidents, observations, and shift activities.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
