Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer for Credential Verification in Garner, NC. You will protect clients across technology and telecom environments, manage access control, and deliver excellent customer service.

The role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to engage with our Shift platform. Responsibilities include monitoring entry points, patrolling the site, and promptly reporting incidents while upholding safety protocols and company standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by following security procedures and site policies.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and deliveries; maintain logs and reports.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and emergencies calmly and report observations to site contacts or emergency personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, and other designated locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Support a professional environment by following Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and/or deliveries in accordance with site requirements; maintain clear and accurate logs and reports.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, perimeter, parking areas, and other designated locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Support a professional environment by following Allied Universal and site-specific protocols, using sound judgment, and providing timely customer assistance.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess supervisory experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Experience in a primarily driving post is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
