Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time Access Compliance) in Punta Gorda, FL to manage entry points, verify credentials, and assist visitors at a government location. You will maintain security logs, respond to incidents, and uphold professional communication while ensuring a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Guard Card/License preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Operate access-control equipment and communications systems, document incidents, and follow post orders.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and law enforcement personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and controlled access points; verify authorization and credentials; and maintain visitor logs and/or access records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity.
• Operate access-control equipment and communications systems, document incidents and observations, and follow established post orders and reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:
