Job summary

Securitas US Business Unit in Missouri is seeking a part-time Security Officer for a Tuesday 2230-0630 shift at the Jefferson City site. Hourly wage is $17.60.

You will patrol premises, monitor systems, control access, respond to emergencies, and maintain a safe environment while providing professional customer service. No experience required; 18+ with HS diploma; benefits include weekly pay and training.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer/tech skills.
• Prior security, law enforcement or military experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
• Remain calm under pressure and vigilant during shift.

Responsibilities

• Check in trucks, answer phones, and conduct walking patrols.
• Monitor property to prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
• Control access to buildings and verify visitors and deliveries.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and other security systems.
• Prepare daily activity and incident reports.
• Respond to emergencies, evacuations, and security incidents.

Security Officer Part Time!

Site Location: Jefferson City, MO

Wage: $17.60/Hour

Schedule: Tuesdays 2230-0630 (8 hour shift)

No Experience Necessary,

The Security Officer protects people, property, and assets by patrolling premises, monitoring systems, controlling access, and responding to emergencies to maintain a safe and secure environment. They serve as a helpful professional resource while ensuring everyone on the property follows safety protocols.

What Your Day May Look Like

• Checking in trucks, Answering phones, and Walking patrols
• Monitor and patrol the assigned property to prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
• Control access to buildings, entrances, and restricted areas.
• Check identification and verify visitors, employees, contractors, and deliveries.
• Monitor CCTV cameras, alarms, and other security systems.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and property.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, alarms, and suspicious activity.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and security logs.
• Enforce company security policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Report safety hazards, suspicious behavior, damaged property, or security concerns to management.
• Assist during emergencies, evacuations, medical incidents, fires, and other critical situations.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Prior Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience a plus!!
• Must be able to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
• Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation.
• Must have strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and quick decision-making capabilities.
