Job summary

The New Jewish Home Career Center in New York is seeking a part-time Security Officer to join our Safety and Security Department on the Manhattan Campus. The role requires working 2 days a week on evening shift with flexibility for additional day or night shifts as needed.

Under the direction of the Safety and Security Director and/or supervisor, the Officer will greet residents, staff, and visitors, monitor activities for policy compliance, conduct rounds, and prepare detailed reports.

Qualifications

• Must have NYS Security License with annual retraining as required
• Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required

• Greets all residents, staff and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
• Monitors activities of visitors, staff and residents to insure compliance with the facility rules and regulations.
• Performs building rounds and inspections. Investigates incidents and accidents and documents same.
• Complete daily reports, incident reports and other written reports as required. Maintains current NYS Security License with annual retraining as required.
• Monitors and responds to resident wander guard, emergency and other notification systems.
• Provides shift coverage as required to maintain a full complement of staff this may include mandated shift coverage.
