Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for Montgomery, Alabama. The role covers unarmed patrols, customer service, and alarm response to protect tenants and visitors while maintaining a visible security presence.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. You will communicate clearly, respond to alarms and routine concerns, and deliver customer-focused service with integrity, reliability, and teamwork at Allied Universal.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.30 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri07:00 AM - 03:00 PMSat02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, entrances, parking facilities, and the surrounding property to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and notify appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports documenting patrols, incidents, and observed conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
