Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Unarmed Patrol Observer in Montgomery, AL. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, and respond to security concerns while delivering excellent customer service to tenants and staff.

The role requires high school diploma or equivalent, and a background check and drug screen are required. A driving position may require a valid driver’s license. Schedule includes daytime and evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Two years of security-related experience preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Site has limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screening required by law.

• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs documenting patrols, incidents, and interactions.

Pay Rate: $16.30 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site policies, helping to maintain orderly access to the property.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and/or interactions with appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At this site, there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
