Job summary

University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority in Madison is seeking a Security Officer for a 50% FTE day schedule, with weekend hours, to help safeguard patients, visitors and staff at University Hospital and clinic locations in Madison, WI. No formal education is required; a High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.

A valid driver's license, along with Basic Life Support (BLS) and IAHSS certification within six months, are required.

Qualifications

• No minimum education required; High School Diploma preferred.
• Associate's Degree or progress towards degree in criminal justice preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in any field preferred.

Security Officer - Part time (Finance)

Work Schedule

50% FTE, Days. Hours are from 7:00 am - 3;00 pm on weekends. You will work at the University Hospital and our clinic locations as needed in Madison, WI.

Qualifications

• No minimum education required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred
• Associate's Degree or progress towards a degree in criminal justice field or a Bachelor's Degree in any other field of study. Preferred

Work Experience

• 1 year relevant experience or appropriate preferred education requirements. Required
• Experience in healthcare security, corporate security, or law enforcement. Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Must possess a current, valid driver's license issued by the individual's state of residence. Must be at least 21 years old or have a minimum of three (3) years of driving experience to operate a Personal Vehicle, Patient/Visitor Vehicle, or standard UW Health Fleet Vehicle. Required and
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Upon Hire Required
• IAHSS Basic Certification within 6 months Required
