Qualifications

• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks per federal, state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in accordance with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by following security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, warehouse access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, observing visitor and contractor activity, and documenting arrivals, departures, and deliveries per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document appropriately.
• Maintain awareness of vehicle and pedestrian traffic around shipping and receiving operations and report hazards to site leadership.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, warehouse access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.


• Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, observing visitor and contractor activity, and documenting arrivals, departures, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and completing required incident documentation.


• Maintain awareness of vehicle and pedestrian traffic around shipping and receiving operations, reporting hazardous conditions, suspicious activity, and policy violations to site leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
