Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, vendors, and/or delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access control procedures and policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorization for access, and maintain accurate visitor, vendor, and vehicle records as required.
• Respond to access-related incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and report observations.
• Communicate clearly with residents, site management, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, policy concerns, and maintenance or access-related issues.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Overnights - Residential Community Entry Gatein San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a residential community, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by managing visitor and resident access, monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A current guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
