Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Roanoke Rapids, NC. You will monitor sites, patrol facilities, and maintain visibility to deter security incidents while providing professional customer service to employees and visitors.

The role includes a flexible night schedule with shifts and opportunities to grow within a national security services team. Prior security or customer service experience is preferred, and a background check is required.

• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization, and maintain logs and reports.
• Communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors, respond to security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed, and maintain accurate logs and reports.
• Communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership in accordance with established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
