Publix Super Markets is seeking a security professional to enforce access control, monitor facilities, and respond to incidents. You will manage deliveries, observe activities, and maintain precise security records while coordinating with supervisors and facility management.

The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work any shift, and the capacity to operate with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Onsite security at Publix facilities is essential.

Qualifications

• At least 20 years of age.
• Have a valid drivers license.
• Possess a Class D Security Officer's License or obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining control of access to Publix facilities by associates, guests, and other non-facility personnel.
• Providing access control, routing, and shipping/receiving processing for product/equipment deliveries.
• Conducting personal observations of activities within the facility and reporting incidents or procedural deficiencies that are identified.
• Maintaining accurate security related records and documentation to include any/all activity that occurs, outside normal business.
• Communicating information to security supervisors, associates, or facility management.

Required Qualifications

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
