Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in De Soto, KS to protect a technology, media, and telecommunications site. You will provide customer service to staff and visitors, conduct regular patrols of offices and parking areas, and monitor entry points according to site procedures.

The role requires a minimum of 1 year in security, a High School diploma or equivalent, and a background check plus drug screen.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of offices, common areas, parking facilities, building exteriors, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity or unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and document entries, incidents, and observations accurately.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response activities and promptly notifying appropriate personnel.
• Support a professional environment by communicating clearly with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership, reporting maintenance concerns, hazards, and security-related issues.
