Responsabilités

• Work with Residential Living, Recreation and Safety & Security staff to supervise students.
• Provide supervision and coverage on dorms, Welcome Center, Recreation, grounds and other areas.
• Assist Safety & Security to maintain a safe Center environment.
• Investigate accidents/incidents and prepare reports with corrective actions.
• Conduct safety inspections of center equipment and facilities.
• Enforce occupational safety and health regulations and standards.
• Document incident investigations within established timelines.
• Do security tours and monitor student activity across campus.
• Respond to emergencies and requests as needed.
• Manage center security, visitor control and student accountability.
• May assist dorm staff with inspections and contraband searches.
• Maintain security and cleanliness of Center facilities and property.

We are seeking an experienced Security Officer to join the Grafton Job Corps team!

In Job Corps, we assist students ages 16-24 with receiving the academic and career training they need for a successful career. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety & security of our staff and students.

Pay for this position is $19.34 per hour.

Schedule: On-Call as needed and available.

Position Summary

Provide a safe and secure living and working environment for students and staff. Assists in the investigation of accidents and incidents with the goal of resolution and reduction of future occurrences.

Responsibilities

• Work with Residential Living Recreation and Safety and Security staff to ensure effective supervision of the student population.
• Provide supervision and coverage on dorms, at the Welcome Center/Security Gate, in Recreation, on the grounds and other areas as needed and directed.
• Assist Safety & Security Department to maintain a safe and secure Center environment.
• Investigate all accidents/incidents under the direction of management and prepare required reports, recommending corrective action.
• Conduct routine safety inspections and assessments of all Center equipment and facilities to identify potential safety and security hazards.
• Enforce occupational safety and health regulations and standards.
• Conduct and document incident and accident investigations per established timelines and requirements.
• Conduct routine Center-wide security tours and assist with monitoring and supervision of students.
• Respond to emergency situations and requests.
• Be responsible for Center security, visitor control and student accountability.
• May assist dorm staff in conducting dorm inspections and searches for contraband.
• Maintain the security and cleanliness of Center facilities and property.
• May provide residential, recreation and transportation assistance as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Advanced degrees preferred.
• Preferred Job Corps or related program experience.
• Must possess a valid in-State Driver’s License and meet Company insurability requirements.

Physical Requirements

Include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and/or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.
