Job summary

ADAMS AND ASSOCIATES INC seeks a Security Officer at Grafton Job Corps. You will help provide a safe living and working environment for students and staff, and assist in investigations to reduce future incidents.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, a valid in-state driver’s license, and may involve on-call shifts. On-call as needed, you’ll be integral to campus security operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Advanced degrees preferred where applicable.
• Job Corps or related program experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with Residential Living, Recreation and Safety & Security staff to supervise students.
• Provide supervision and coverage on dorms, Welcome Center, Recreation, grounds and other areas.
• Assist Safety & Security to maintain a safe Center environment.
• Investigate accidents/incidents and prepare reports with corrective actions.
• Conduct safety inspections of center equipment and facilities.
• Enforce occupational safety and health regulations and standards.
• Document incident investigations within established timelines.
• Do security tours and monitor student activity across campus.
• Respond to emergencies and requests as needed.
• Manage center security, visitor control and student accountability.
• May assist dorm staff with inspections and contraband searches.
• Maintain security and cleanliness of Center facilities and property.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Advanced degrees preferred
