Job summary

Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, part of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for night shifts. The role ensures the safety of hospital staff, patients, families and visitors, and protects hospital property.

Responsibilities include patrols, CCTV monitoring, responding to emergency codes, and performing other duties as assigned by the manager. A High School diploma and valid driver's license are required, with hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's license in good standing.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Ability to deal tactfully with co-workers, patients and visitors.
• Ability to perform alone or as a team member in managing aggressive or violent behavior through non-abusive physical intervention.
• 1-year hospital experience preferred.

Position Purpose<\/p>

The Security Officer is responsible for the security of hospital employees, patients/families, visitors, and property.<\/p>

As a Security Officer you will:<\/p>

• Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.<\/p><\/li>

• Recognizes special needs/concerns of populations served and adjusts communication accordingly, i.e., language barrier, diminished hearing, concrete terms, etc.

• Does Patrol Tours

  <\/li>

• Monitors Close Circuit TV (CCTV)

  <\/li>

• Responds to all Emergency Code alerts

  <\/li>

• Other duties as assigned by manager

  Minimum Qualifications:<\/p>
