A Part‑time Security Guard is primarily responsible for maintaining a post to greet and direct visitors and guests of the Baltimore Convention Center to events and area attractions while ensuring the facility is properly secured and that no unauthorized individuals are in restricted areas. Part‑time security guards assist Public Safety Officers with maintaining order, manning posts, and enforcing policies and procedures, both inside and outside of the Convention Center buildings and grounds. They receive moderate supervision and training to prepare them for a full‑time Public Safety Officer role. Part‑time guards work on an as‑needed basis, must be available to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays, and require moderate exertion with prolonged periods of standing and exposure to inclement weather.
