Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for a college in Boston, MA. You will patrol campus buildings, deter security incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and guests while carrying out security-related procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, performance spaces, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions or maintenance concerns, document incidents through reporting procedures.
• Support a welcoming learning environment by providing directions and assisting with inquiries.

Job Schedule

• Sat 07:30 AM - 03:30 PM
• Sun 07:30 AM - 03:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and guests while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, performance spaces, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions or maintenance concerns, and document incidents through required reporting procedures.
• Support a welcoming learning and creative environment by providing directions, assisting with non-emergency inquiries, and communicating professionally with campus stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
