Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors while carrying out site-specific policies and procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular patrols of the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
• Document incidents and patrol activities accurately per site procedures.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Mobile Response in Ithaca, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a retail location, you will drive and conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and associates. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and report security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors while carrying out site-specific policies, security-related procedures, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas, to help deter unwanted activity.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate site personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and other security-related observations accurately and in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
