Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Driver Visitor Reception in Indianapolis, IN for overnight shifts at a front desk in a financial institution. You will welcome visitors, verify IDs, issue credentials, monitor access, and provide courteous service while following site policies.

This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and compliance with Allied Universal driver policy. You will monitor alarms, respond to incidents, and coordinate with teams to maintain a safe environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security experience or a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at the front desk for clients, employees, visitors, and vendors.
• Monitor access by verifying IDs, managing visitor registration, and issuing credentials.
• Answer calls, give directions, and maintain a professional front desk presence.
• Monitor alarms and document unusual activity; report security concerns per procedures.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and vendors while following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying identification, managing visitor registration, and issuing authorized visitor credentials.
• Answer and route telephone calls, provide approved directions and information, and maintain a professional front desk presence.
• Monitor access control and alarm systems, document unusual activity, and promptly report security-related concerns according to established procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and assist with emergency response activities when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements

• Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
