Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer in Montgomery, AL to protect clients across commercial real estate and other sites. You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents with professionalism while maintaining clear documentation and communication with site leadership.

Requirements include at least two years of security experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work a scheduled shift.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and employees while following site procedures and emergency policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking facilities, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; assist with directions and escort requests as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner; document observations and notify supervision.

This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.93 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking facilities, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site policies; assist with directions, escort requests, and access-related concerns as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least two years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Possess customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
