Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate visitor and access records.
• Control access to restricted areas, including laboratory, manufacturing, warehouse, and administrative spaces, in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter to identify access-control concerns and help to deter unauthorized entry.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Control Driver in Clayton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and contractors. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and help deter security-related incidents while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven culture.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
