Allied Universal in Albertson, NY is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to patrol campus facilities, deter incidents, monitor access points, and provide courteous service to students, staff, and visitors. Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and guests by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed, and report unusual conditions to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly in accordance with site and Allied Universal reporting procedures.
