Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for a medical company in Cambridge, MA. The role involves unarmed security, monitoring access, and patrolling the premises to deter incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

The schedule includes Thursday 3 PM–11 PM and Friday to Sunday 7 AM–3 PM. Starting pay is $25.37/hour with paid orientation and training; background checks and drug screens apply as required by law.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted.
• Drug screening may be required by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and tenants by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the premises and protect access control points.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery authorization.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, professional manner and escalate as needed.
• Complete detailed activity reports and shift communications.
