Allied Universal in Wheaton, MD is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer Mall Vehicle Patrol Driver. You will provide customer service, deter incidents, support access control, and patrol interior and exterior areas to keep tenants and visitors safe.

This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to work a set evening schedule Fri-Sun from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The role offers part-time hours with competitive pay and opportunities through the Shift platform.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of security-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license required per Allied Universal policy.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• State/city security license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, employees, and vendors by following site-specific security procedures.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, professional manner and escalate per procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior/exterior areas to deter incidents.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious conditions to management.
• Document patrols and incidents accurately and communicate findings to site management and leadership.

Pay Rate: $18.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a retail and mall location.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout interior common areas, exterior walkways, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe activity within assigned areas, and report suspicious conditions, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
