Allied Universal in Canoga Park, CA is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide reliable, customer-focused protection for luxury retail and other assigned sites. • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout assigned areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to report incidents or policy concerns according to procedures.
• Respond to incidents and client concerns calmly, coordinating with leadership and emergency responders as needed.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation to support a welcoming, professional environment.

As a Security Officer Luxury Retail in Canoga Park, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $32.71 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, guests, and retail staff while carrying out security‑related procedures, location‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout luxury retail sales areas, stockrooms, entrances, exterior walkways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual behavior, reporting incidents, hazards, or policy concerns according to established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, coordinating with store leadership and emergency responders when needed.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and support a welcoming, professional environment for shoppers and employees.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
