Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer for a luxury apartment community in Irvine, CA to provide a visible security presence and exceptional customer service to residents and guests. You will patrol the community, monitor access points and alarms, respond to incidents, and coordinate with property management to deter threats while upholding a caring, people-first culture.

CPR/First Aid certification and state licensing are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening will be conducted.
• Age: 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests and visitors by enforcing security procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents and resident concerns calmly and professionally.
• Patrol the apartment grounds, parking, and common areas regularly to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Prepare incident reports and communicate findings to management.

As an Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will patrol a residential apartment community, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points and alarms, and respond to security-related concerns. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting residents, guests, and property staff through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and a caring, people-first culture.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to residential incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of apartment community grounds, parking areas, common areas, building exteriors, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and communicate relevant information to property management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
