Job Description

As a Security Officer X Ray Screening Loss Prevention in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by screening people and items, monitoring access points, conducting routine patrols, and remaining visible to help deter incidents. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting loss-prevention efforts. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out screening procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and authorized items in accordance with established procedures, documenting and reporting irregularities to site leadership.
• Monitor access points and help maintain orderly entry and exit processes for employees, drivers, contractors, and visitors.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, loading and distribution areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• X‑ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
