Qualifications

• Guard Card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply locally.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel at a logistics site by following access-control procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, maintaining visitor/contractor records.
• Respond to incidents calmly and notify site contacts and leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular/ random patrols of entry points, yards, parking, and perimeter to deter unauthorized access.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and conditions per site procedures.

As a Security Officer - Logistics Part Time in Schertz, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site‑specific access‑control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and direct authorized individuals to designated areas.
• Respond to incidents, access‑control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, trailer yards, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security‑related concerns.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and unusual conditions in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
