Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Bloomington, IL. You will welcome visitors, verify IDs, issue visitor credentials, and monitor access from a front desk station, delivering courteous service and concise reporting.

This role offers a flexible schedule, the chance to grow professionally, and access to our Shift-claim platform to build your hours.

Competenze

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required as a condition of employment per federal, state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• Drug screen required as a condition of employment where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

As a Front Desk Security Professional at a food and beverage location, you will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor entry activity, and provide outstanding customer service. You will serve as a visible, approachable presence, helping to address security-related concerns through clear communication and professionalism. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.65 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM
• Wed: 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM
• Thur: 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Operate the front desk by greeting visitors, verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate access records.
• Monitor entry points, visitor activity, and security-related systems from a stationary post; report unusual activity or access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting events as required.
• Support food and beverage facility protocols by directing visitors, contractors, and deliveries to designated areas and following site-specific access requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
