Job Description

As a Security Officer - Library Location in Wilson, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, Food/Beverage and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within government and food/beverage locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment. Your presence and routine patrols support a sense of order, while your strong communication and customer service skills assist visitors and staff. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed04:00 PM - 12:00 AMThur12:00 PM - 08:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and its perimeter, which may include government buildings or food and beverage production facilities.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist in helping to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence throughout the location.
• Support emergency response activities according to site protocols and instructions.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities and incidents encountered during patrols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• North Carolina Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
