Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced - Part Time in Carson City, NV. This role offers reliable hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

The position features fixed anchor shifts for a six-month commitment, with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, and a path to full-time roles through paid training and advancement

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation required by law; criminal histories considered per regulations.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws; may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and perform security procedures per site policies and emergency response when needed.
• Respond to incidents calmly, document observations, and escalate concerns per site procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of the location and perimeter to identify security issues.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and deliveries per site requirements.
• Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, vendors, and responders to maintain a welcoming environment.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Auditing in Carson City, NV, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the technology, media, and telecommunications location and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and deliveries in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, vendors, and emergency responders while supporting a welcoming and orderly environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
