Allied Universal in Austin, TX seeks a Security Officer for an industrial building driving role. You will monitor and patrol, deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service at a technology-focused site requiring a valid driver's license.

The position is full-time with a schedule that includes night shifts. Minimum requirements include 2+ years security experience, a high school diploma, and a valid driver's license; CPR is preferred and other standard background checks apply.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Industrial Building Driving Role in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a leading technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, laboratories, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions, access concerns, and maintenance issues.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verifying credentials and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting activities and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
