POSITION SUMMARY

Perform Security duties during assigned shifts to protect Guests, Team Members, Vendors, and Casino property while delivering excellent Guest service. Ensure compliance with regulations and policies, and take primary responsibility for departmental training and medical emergencies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Patrol assigned areas to identify and report unusual, dangerous, illegal, or suspicious activities, while ensuring officers effectively maintain a safe environment for Guests, Team Members, and property.
  • Routinely practice observation of area and people for safety and security, report potential concerns to appropriate individuals for proper resolution.
  • If certified as an Emergency Medical Technician, take the lead in all medical emergencies.
  • Address emergency incidents professionally, de‑escalate tense situations, ensure proper resolution in line with CCCH standards, and record thorough documentation.
  • Security Officers are encouraged to enhance their basic security skills annually through in‑house, external, or self‑development training programs.
  • Ensure all policies, procedures, regulations, and applicable laws are enforced.
  • Safely operate company vehicles when directed to do so.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Opportunities for Internships, Apprenticeships, and Coordinated Work Study programs may be available in lieu of formal education and work experience requirements for this position for enrolled members of the Yavapai‑Apache Nation.

Education
  • Required Education: HS Diploma
  • Preferred Education: N/A
  • Equivalent work experience may substitute for educational requirements.
Work Experience
  • Minimum 6 months’ experience in Security and/or Law Enforcement, or Military in the past 5 years or any combination thereof.
  • 1 year’s experience in Security preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must possess excellent communication (written and verbal) skills, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Must possess the ability to make sound judgments in stressful situations with or without full information.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑stress environment.
  • Must be computer literate in Microsoft products.
Professional Licenses & Certifications Requirements
  • Must be able to pass a Title 4 background check per ARS 4-112.G (12).
  • Must be certified in CPR/First Aid license within 180 days of hire and maintain.
  • Must be currently certified in either State of Arizona Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Field Training Officer or able to obtain within 180 days of hire and maintain certifications.
Other Requirements
  • Must be 18+ years old and be available for all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and pass a drug test and background check for an AZ Gaming License.
  • Must adhere to all Cliff Castle Casino Hotel policies and procedures.
