Baptist Health Lexington is seeking a Security Officer II to join the Security Services unit. This role patrols hospital grounds, monitors security systems, responds to incidents, enforces policies, and coordinates with law enforcement when needed.

The position is full-time on the 3rd shift in a 24/7 hospital environment. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and flexibility for weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Driver’s License with no violations within 2 years.
• Certified Healthcare Security Officer (CHSO) preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hospital property to maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and requests for assistance.
• Conduct investigations, complete incident reports, and document security activities accurately.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, radio communications, and access control systems.
• Enforce hospital policies and coordinate with law enforcement when appropriate.
• Perform dispatch responsibilities, including prioritizing calls and coordinating security responses.
• Assist with parking enforcement and other security support services.
