Job Description

As a Full Time Security Officer Screening Specialist at a Food Processing Plant in New Holland, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor alarm systems, and support a welcoming experience for employees and visitors. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols, and report security-related concerns. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.57 / Hour

Access Control/Badge Experience

• Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes understanding how to issue, revoke, and manage access credentials for employees and visitors.

Alarm Panel Experience

• Familiarity with alarm panel systems is essential. Candidates should be able to operate, troubleshoot, and respond to alarm notifications effectively.

Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet

• Proficiency in using computers or tablets is required. Candidates should be comfortable navigating various software applications and performing tasks such as data entry, communication, and report generation.

Customer Service Experience

• A strong background in customer service is crucial. Candidates should demonstrate effective communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to providing excellent service to clients and colleagues.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points at a food and beverage production location, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access areas, facility grounds, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and visitors while supporting compliance with facility entry requirements and security-related protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
