Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific security procedures and access-control policies at a food production location.
• Monitor entry and exit points; verify identification, visitor authorization, delivery documentation, and contractor credentials per site requirements.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, vehicle, and package records and communicate access concerns to site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, access-control issues, alarms, and critical situations calmly and according to emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of entrances, exterior areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Credential Screening in King William, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help manage entry points, verify badges and visitor access, monitor activity, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service while supporting a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and vendors. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and/or delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access-control policies at a food production location.
• Monitor entry and exit points; verify identification, visitor authorization, delivery documentation, and/or contractor credentials in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, vehicle, and package records, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, access-control issues, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, exterior areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
