Job summary

Allied Universal in McAllen, TX is hiring a Security Officer Identity Verification for our manufacturing location. You will verify credentials, control access, monitor entry points, and deliver outstanding customer service to employees and visitors.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, background screen, and eligibility for state licensing where required. You will work a night shift schedule and be part of a team that emphasizes safety, integrity, and service.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required under federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Control access to the facility by verifying credentials, managing visitor and contractor entry, maintaining access records, and following site-specific badging procedures.
• Monitor access points, alarm systems, cameras, and other security-related equipment; report irregularities, maintenance concerns, and unauthorized access attempts according to established procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $11.66 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon – 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Tue – 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Wed – 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thur – 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri – 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
