Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Reception Security Desk in Philadelphia, PA. You will greet visitors, manage access control, badge procedures, monitor entry activity, and provide outstanding customer service at a financial institution location.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service at the front desk by greeting visitors, verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate visitor logs in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Support a professional, welcoming environment at a financial services location by directing visitors, employees, and vendors to appropriate areas and responding to routine inquiries.
• Monitor access to the lobby and reception area, report unusual activity, and help to deter unauthorized entry through consistent application of security-related procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and assist with emergency response activities when needed.
• Complete required reports, maintain front-desk records, and communicate relevant security-related information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
