Job summary

Wesley Palms Retirement Community in San Diego, CA is seeking a Security Officer I for a full-time, Friday–Tuesday 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. shift. Compensation ranges from $20.00 to $22.00 per hour. The role focuses on resident and staff safety, incident response, and courteous service.

Required credentials include a Security Guard Card and a high school diploma or GED. One year of related security experience is preferred. The position offers comprehensive benefits through Front Porch.

Qualifications

• Must be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Good communication and customer-service oriented.
• Prior security experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide security services for residents and employees.
• Patrol campus grounds, lobbies, corridors, and access points.
• Respond to fire alarms, emergencies, and incidents.
• Record and file incident reports and shift activities.
• Enforce safety rules and report hazards to supervisor.
• Perform emergency janitorial duties and manage building temperatures as needed.
• Follow disaster and safety procedures per facility plan.
