Job summary

Responsibilities

• Provide for the safety and security of all patients, employees, contractors, trainees, vendors, and visitors.
• Check for Kennedy Krieger Institute issued identification (ID) badges and complete sign-in/out for all individuals without Institute issued ID badges.
• Enforce and ensure compliance with all security-related policies/procedures.
• Inspect packages entering/exiting buildings to verify authorization and prevent contraband.
• Arm/disarm alarm systems and monitor CCTV systems.
• Assist with investigations and document suspicious activity with detailed reports.
• Ensure work environments are maintained and report safety/security issues promptly.
• Assist with training of new security officers and contract staff.
