Job summary

Reading Hospital, part of Tower Health, is seeking a Security Officer 1 to help maintain safety by screening people, bags, and vehicles entering the facility. You will enforce security protocols, monitor surveillance and weapons screening systems, provide wayfinding, and respond to emergencies.

The role requires full-time day shift with weekend and holiday rotation. Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, BLS, CHSO certification within 6 months, and a valid driver's license.

Job Summary

Part of the Entrance Screening Division, the Security Officer 1 plays a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of the premises by screening individuals entering the facility. This involves conducting thorough inspections of people, personal items, and vehicles to prevent unauthorized access, ensuring compliance with security protocols, and addressing security concerns promptly and effectively. The officer also monitors surveillance and weapons screening systems, provides wayfinding support and responds to emergencies or suspicious activities.

Work Schedule

Full-Time Day Shift, with weekend and holiday rotation required.
