Job summary

United Wholesale Mortgage on Pontiac, IL campus seeks a dedicated Security Officer to safeguard our space through badge verification, CCTV monitoring, and weapon screening with metal detectors.

You will patrol on foot and by vehicle, respond to incidents, document hazards, and coordinate with teammates with a calm, de-escalation-focused approach. Shift options include early morning to evening hours, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma and valid driver's license.
• Ability to work shifts: 5am-2pm, 7am-4pm, or 1pm-10pm (Mon-Fri).
• Ability to meet physical requirements and pass background checks.
• Strong verbal and nonverbal communication with de-escalation focus.
• Ability to write clear incident reports and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Control campus access by verifying and issuing badges.
• Monitor cameras to safeguard the space.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Controls access to our campus space by verifying badges and issuing badges.
• Monitors cameras to proactively protect our space.
• Uses Metal Detectors to screen for weapons.
• Uses common computer programs such as Outlook, Excel, and the Internet to complete tasks.
• Conducts patrols and provides services to team members both on foot and in a vehicle.
• Communicates with fellow team members to identify and respond to several types of non-emergency and emergency situations with a focus on de-escalation.
• Identifies and report hazards.
• Responds to and appropriately documents security related incidents around campus.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Must Have Qualifications:

• Ability to work one of the following shifts: 5am-2pm, 7a-4pm, 1pm-10pm Monday-Friday
• High School Diploma.
• Active & valid driver's license.
• Meet physical needs of the job.
• Must demonstrate good moral fitness and ethical standards.
• Outstanding verbal and nonverbal communication skills with a focus on de-escalation.
• Demonstrated ability to write incident reports.
• Demonstrated ability make independent and sound decisions under stress while adhering to established policies and procedures.

Nice to Have Qualifications:

• CPR certified
• Prior security experience
• Previous military or law enforcement experience
