Overview

As our Security Officer I, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure corporate environment by enforcing access control and safety/security policies and procedures.

Shifts available: Saturday-Wednesday 3:00pm-11:00pm, Friday-Tuesday 11:00pm-7:00am, and Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm.

Employees working on 2nd and 3rd shift are eligible for a $2.00/hr. shift differential.

Detailed Description

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Maintain secure surroundings by enforcing access control
• Rove through company facilities to ensure a safe environment
• Respond to emergency situations such as fires, accidents, injuries, and disturbances in the workplace
• Report all abnormal situations to Security Shift Supervisor
• Complete daily written reports of shift activities
• Provide personalized customer service of the highest level while maintaining all customer information confidential
• Abide by all policies and procedures of Oriental Trading Company
• Maintain regular, predictable attendance
• Attend face-to-face meetings on short or little notice
• Work requires in-person collaboration among colleagues and contractors

Marginal Functions

• Perform any of the above functions at any of the company locations as needed
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned

Requirements to Join:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Previous security-related experience preferred

Other Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to walk frequently, use elevators, and climb open grate stairways
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Flexibility to work various shifts with short notice
• Valid driver’s license and driving record in accordance with OTC standards for operating company vehicles
