Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Housing Community Patrol to safeguard residents and visitors at a residential location in New York. You will provide excellent customer service, conduct patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents following site procedures.

This is a full-time, on-site role with a hourly pay rate of $20.00. Role requires NYS Security Guard License, HS diploma or equivalent, and standard background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required per federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may vary by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors per site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to resident concerns and incidents calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, common areas, parking lots, and perimeter to identify concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity per site procedures to maintain an orderly environment.
• Document observations and incidents accurately and communicate to site management or responders.

Job Schedule:

• Mon 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Tue 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to resident concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or property concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, helping to maintain an orderly residential environment.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site management and/or emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
