Job Description

As a Security Officer Hospital Security in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, families, and staff. Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTime Mon 09:30 PM - 06:00 AM, Thur 09:30 PM - 06:00 AM, Fri 09:30 PM - 06:00 AM, Sat 09:30 PM - 06:00 AM, Sun 09:30 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate hospital personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, assisting with directions and maintaining a professional presence in a patient-focused healthcare environment.
• Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
