Allied Universal, a leading security provider, seeks a Security Officer Full Time Hospital in Los Angeles, CA. You will protect patients, staff and visitors by patrolling facilities, deterring incidents, and responding to emergencies with calm professionalism.

In this healthcare environment, you’ll monitor access points, report security incidents, and deliver excellent customer service while following site procedures and safety protocols to keep the campus safe and welcoming.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as needed, and report unusual or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with site procedures.
