Allied Universal, North Americas leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Patrol in North Charleston, SC. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, deter incidents, assist patients, visitors, and staff, and communicate clearly with the team to maintain safety at a healthcare location.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check to comply with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories per applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff and contractors by executing security procedures and site policies, including emergency response when needed.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare areas, entrances, parking, and perimeter to identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and help maintain orderly movement according to visitor-management and access-control procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident and activity reports and communicate information to site leadership and emergency responders.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned healthcare areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and help maintain orderly movement throughout the location in accordance with visitor‑management and access‑control procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
