Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Hospital Patrol in Homestead, FL. As a Part-Time role, you will provide security for healthcare facilities, conduct armed patrols, assist staff, patients, and visitors with professional communication.

The position requires at least 1 year security experience, hospital vaccination, ability to work in a hospital morgue, and be 21 or older for armed roles. Pay rate is $20.60 per hour with day shifts.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals.
• At least 2 years of service in a healthcare/medical-related field is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and others while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the healthcare facility, including entrances, parking areas, public spaces, and perimeter locations, while observing and reporting unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable site procedures and armed post protocols.
• Assist with access control, visitor management, and the documentation of incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity through a visible presence, professional communication, and timely reporting to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
